Generally speaking, the optimal condition for healthy plant growth is within the temperature range of 20-25°C and humidity range of 50-70° . The suffocating high indoor temperature adversely affects the plants’ growth, the plants’ quality or may cause them to wilt and die.

In hot weather, thermal conduction and radiation may raise the temperature in the greenhouse to about 10-20°C higher than the external temperature and thus, stifles and stunts plant growth. The solution to better greenhouse productivity is through effective cooling system as occasioned by the Watercool Ventalition System.

Time-tested experience shows that a stable temperature of about 30°C can be effectively maintained even in stifling hot weather conditions, thus, keeping loss of production to an absolute minimum.

Watercool Evaporative Cooling Pad System Is The Solution

The cooling process of the Watercool Evaporative Cooling Pad is completed within the very core of the pad itself. A thin film of water on the rippling wet surface of the corrugated paper fibre absorbs the heat and vaporizes, thereby, causing the incoming air drawn in by the opposite exhaust fans to be effectively cooled and optimally humidified, not unlike a breeze over a water surface.

Outdoors, the temperature readings of the dry bulb and wet bulb (thermometers) vary according to the prevailing weather conditions with the dry bulb invariably registering higher temperatures. This phenomenon is more pronounced — i.e. greater difference between dry and wet bulb readings — the hotter the weather becomes... simply because evaporation cools the wet bulb in the same way as the human body cools down when bodily perspiration evaporates.

Watercool Ventalition System For Lowering Temperature In The Greenhouse
The greenhouse gets heated up through thermal conduction, convection and radiation. The thermal load through these processes is determined by the prevailing weather conditions as well as the structural design of the greenhouse and the shades afforded to it. Over heating can be prevented by good ventilation and therein lies the crux of the efficiency of the cooling pad system: a copious indoor volume of ventilation ONLY via the wetted pads.
